remote area medical

Sunday night 60 Minutes had a segment on the Remote Area Medical (RAM) program founded by Stan Brock in 1985 to serve Third World countries. RAM is a not-for-profit volunteer airborne relief medical program. Currently 60 percent of the work is now being done in the United States. Why? 47 million Americans have no health insurance and the number of people who are underinsured is not known. I find this all very sad. For more information please go to RAM and for the full story on Sunday’s tv segment please go to 60Minutes
